Hi All,

I've got myself a Corsa D 2012 SRi and really am liking it, I've started to add little things to it already but I'd like to upgrade the front lights on them, any suggestions for a nice set up?
I'm new this forum so all help is greatly appreciated!

Hi buddy, welcome to CDUK  Good to hear your enjoying your new ride, when you mention upgrading your front lights you mean new headlights or just new bulb set up?

Bulb set up:

6k/8k H7 Hids for your dipped beam
Mtec cosmo blue H1 for your main beam
Led canbus Cree 501 sidelight bulbs
Silvatec chrome indicator bulbs

That's a common set up with corsa d owners and looks amazing :) I have done a few things differently but similar set up

Only problem is the H4 that's a (duel filament used for high and low beam) it's H1 needed

You are going to buy the wrong stuff. You are totally new and need to learn the basics. HID's come in a kit. Ie H7 (dipped). That is just the bulb you've linked to buy. It's not a straight fit. You need to do modifications like drill holes in the back of the bulb cover and fitting and fastening. Being absolutely new I would research it more.

H1 are your brights/main beam. Not H4. You've got the bulbs mixed up. The brights normally tent to be halogen as there is no warm up time. Halogen are a straight fit bulb

So h7 dipped
H1 main/brights
T20 Cree led Canbus safe

You don't have to go for the hids. There are plenty of direct fit bulbs that are more than capable. Look at Mtec cosmo blue, I had the high wattage ones (100w I believe) they were fine. You can get them in a lower wattage tho and just as bright I'm told. Also hids are illegal if not correctly installed, I'd look into things a little more but in the meantime just buy some direct fit bulbs, then look at hids later on if that's a route you want to try ☺

With the t20 Cree led's you won't get a set that will match your headlights with standard bulbs. One is Cree Led any the other is halogen.

The best Halogen bulbs you can Buy for legal output are: Philips Xtreme Vision +130% you need H7 & H1
Lots of brands have HID look/effect which sacrifice on light output and won't match anyway. Trust me get the Philips
